My Silent Place

Where inspiration begins

a practical application of mindfulness in daily life

with Jane Negrych

About Jane

I have been teaching compassion based mindfulness for 15 years. Intially, I taught for the Mindfulness Association UK and I am currently teaching at the Sanctuary in Dublin, Ireland. Through teaching meditation, I have discovered that silence can be a doorway to creativity and to connection: connection to myself, to my environment and connection to healing.

Upcoming Courses

Being Present online

September 9, 2025

The Being Present course is back online, this Autumn. The Being Present Mindfulness training is a 4 Part, in depth training that is spread out over a nine-month period during the winter months, and aims to enable participants to establish an effective and regular daily mindfulness practice so as to help our minds to settle and stabilise. One of the distinctive qualities of this training is the kindness and compassion practices that are weaved throughout.

It is ideal for beginners; however, it is also for those who have previous experience of mindfulness and who want to deepen and develop their practice and for those who might go on to train to teach mindfulness in the workplace or the 8-week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC).This course is part of the Mindfulness Association UK franchise.

Nature and Healing

January 31, 2026

Nature-based interventions (NBIs) have gained increasing attention in recent years as a promising approach to promoting health and well-being. Research has shown that engaging with nature can have a wide range of positive effects on physical, mental, and emotional health, making it a valuable tool for improving overall quality of life.

The Sanctuary’s Nature and Healing Programme was created by Jane Negrych and follows three ecologies for deepening our relationship with nature, ourselves and one another:

Ecology 1: Inspiration/ Ecology 2: Engagement/ Ecology 3:Enmeshment.

The aim of the programme is to cultivate and foster a relationship with nature for the purposes of healing and strengthening mental and emotional resiliency
